Life at home and December Moon Phases for Magic Use
Everyone survived Thanksgiving. It was a little strange not having Travis here. I hope his first Thanksgiving away from home was ok. He and his girlfriend Marna were going to have Turkey HungryMan dinners and watch movies. Sounds about right. LOL We ended up having a turkey, though that isn't what I had planned. Our neighbor came by and asked if we needed one as he was invited somewhere else and ended up leaving us a nice turkey a pumpkin pie and some whipped cream. So I didn't have to make a pumpkin pie. I ended up making a French Apple Pie instead. I just love have anything that goes with whipped cream and the excuse to use it. (grin). It was a small dinner with only Stephanie my neice Ashley and my boyfriend Dale. Afterward Stephanie hopped on over to her boyfriends for another dinner and some movies. We ended up watching a few and doing some reading. Thats one thing I like about Dale. He likes to read too so I never get interupeted with "honey you never talk to me" and other inane pieces of conversation.
Ashleys mom seems to have dropped her on me. So I have plenty of errands to run come Monday. We have to find some help for her financially and a way for her to have a place of her own. She wants to start back up with her GED classes too. I think thats a good idea. I do want her to get a license though. I don't want to be the taxi. Besides, another driver in the house would be nice. She's been no problem here and I told her she could live with me if we could find some help with the rent and groceries. I wouldn't mind another body in the house, I miss having Travis to watch movies with. Stephanie and I don't agree on the same type very much. She is really into aname and silly teen movies. I like dramas and just about anything set in space, and things that blow up. Also historical pieces and Shakespear. (my minor in college, I love the language). Ashley also likes to do crafts which I like to do. Stephanie runs from doing anything of the kind. Most of the Christmas gifts I give are going to have to be homemade this year. Money is really tight. I HATE being poor!!! Oh well, its not going to change with me being disabled and unable to work to bring in extra money. I am hoping to be able to sell some of my jewelry. I usually have no problem but the area is depressed right now and the merchants are hurting pretty badly. Handmade jewelry is always more expensive than machine made or Tawain etc. Another sigh.

Taurus also rules bindings, strength, endurance and patience. This is the sign in which the moon is strongest and most effective for spellwork, especially at the full. Taurus rules anything to do with money, sensuality, dance and silence.
The Moon is Full December 8: This Phase is for doing your most powerful spells. It is my belief that Magic is much more powerful during this phase. Some consider the Full Moon the actual day that it is fullest and marked on the calendar. They do not know that the Moon has the same influence for a seven day period.
December 8 - 9 The Moon is in Gemini: Spells for memory, intelligence, ideas, travel, cars and transportation in general work well under this sign. Gemini rules buying and selling and commerce, siblings, writing, teaching, and learning's. It is a good sign for tool consecration - especially wands, cards, and pictures, - gay, bisexual, or transgender issues and contacting the Goddess.
December 10 - 11 - 12 The Moon is in Cancer: Spells for home, mothers, family, children, and food are effective under a Cancer Moon. Cancer also rules psychic abilities and divination, past lives, and contacting the Goddess. Spells involving real estate, finding or buying a home, weather workings, planting, and raising food crops also work well under Cancer. This is the sign the Moon rules and here she is very strong.
December 13 - 14 The Moon is in Leo: Spells for love, romance, and dating, children, creativity, fun, self expression, play, vacation, and leisure, work well under this Moon sign. Investments, speculation, and selling a home at a good profit are also ruled by Leo. A spell for naming a child can work particularly well under this Moon.
December 15 - 16 The Moon is in Virgo: Spells for health, healing, wellness, herb lore, and medicine are strong under this Moon sign. Study, organization, business and trade are also found under Virgo. Spells for tool concentration in general and the pentacle are effective during this Moon. It is also a good sign for low Magick work, evocations, and coven workings.
The Waning Moon is December 16: This phase is normally for Spells that do away with things or make things go away. Such as making an enemy go away or a bad Spirit or slander along with many other things.
December 17 - 18 - 19 The Moon is in Libra: Spells for legal matters in general, justice, contracts, war, peace, and balance fall under Libra. As the sign of partnerships, Libra will lend energy to spells for love, romance, and dating, marriage, beauty, and harmony and music. As the sign of balance, Libra oversees spells for legal matters, lawyers. A Libra Moon also aids spells for other people.
December 20 - 21 The Moon is in Scorpio: Spells for death, initiation, transformation, regeneration and renewal fall under Scorpio. It is a good Moon for consecrating an athema or any tool that holds power, and for banishing, forging a group identity, keeping secrets, doing research, uncovering hidden or lost things, developing psychic talents. Strengthening the will and willpower and working magic in general. But remember, this is the sign when the Moon is weakest and less effective.
December 22 - 23 The Moon is in Sagittarius: Spells for legal matters in general, laws, judges, teachings, and learning, education, philosophy, and ethics work best under the Sagittarius Moon. Spells for dreams, contacting the higher planes, accessing the Akashic records, contacting Deity, divination and starting a tradition are also effective under this sign.
December 23 is the New Moon: This phase is very similar to the Waning Moon and used to rid oneself of things.
December 24 - 25 The Moon is in Capricorn: Spells for career, job, business, work, honor, and reputation, big business, achievement awards, and recognition, authority in general, world leaders, and government in general work effectively under this Moon. But it also is the sign where the Moon is weak operating at a disadvantage.
December 26 - 27 The Moon is in Aquarius: Spells for friends, acquaintances, clubs, and organizations, founding a coven, covens in general, and legislative bodies work under the social sign of Aquarius. Aquarius puts sparks into energy and energy work, meeting new people and working with a coven.
